Funny, heartbreaking, cheesy at times (yet not negatively so), but most wonderfully,
it doesn't pamper the audience with a happy ending.
It's scary how much I can take some parts of the movie and almost precisely relate it back to my teenage heartbreaks (note: some). Added to this, the excellently fitting cliched love songs and their accompanied lyrics just so perfectly encapsulate that sense of longing, teenage angst and unrequitted love within this movie. This, all while shot in the low budget style and moving camera combines to give a layer of aunthenticity and home-made feel that just fits.

An instant classic and new personal favourite. 10/10
A point of discussion on the ending: I know that some people would tend to disparage Nili (the girl) for the ending of the movie and paint her as the villain, but the message I take away from it is that life is sometimes a little more complicated. I think she only ended up getting back with Momo (the guy she made out with at the end) because her feelings were still very much there for him, making that 'mistake' at the end because she was still crushing on Momo as Benzi is crushing on Nili. I think it was the case that Nili only slept with Benzi due to how much she felt she owed Benzi for what he did, and given she knows how strongly he feels for him, she acted stupidly, as teenagers do, by sleeping with him as a way to repay his kindness. Given Nili's reaction at the end, she realised what she did was a 'mistake', and maybe did have feelings for Benzi as well. Moral of the story: We are humans with the mistakes that we make, and we don't choose the ones we love.
