Awesome! What a great movie <3 I always wanted a movie like this tbh. I envisioned it a bit differently but I think this was actually better :)

I'm a big fan of cars (both from the technical viewpoint (except for actually getting my hands dirty :o :D) and of course driving them) and it also annoys me that it's such a "male thing" (with misconceptions like that woman are worse at driving - this might be statistically true on average due to them having less practice, etc. but I don't see this true due to gender differences).

Anyway, this movie was a bit cheesy and didn't feel realistic but the huge upside to that was that Ellie's character was just so funny :) I mix of really talented but inexperienced, naive, impulsive (sometimes leading to stupid decisions), compasionate, motivated/dedicated, and most importantly savage af (<3 xD). This made her so badass in her own way.

Well, it wasn’t awful. It’s a bit slow-paced (a bit ironic for a racing movie) and incredibly predictable. She has natural talent and is told it’s in her blood. She trains for about two days and wins. All is well, she’s a hero, dead dad is still dead though.
The acting itself wasn’t half bad. I’ve seen much worse. But the dialogue could’ve done with a bit more work. Nobody calls their uncle “Uncle”.
Lead actress is pretty cute so worth a watch just for that.

@jezzfreeman Nobody calls their uncle “uncle”? Really. Both sides of my family say “Uncle” and “Auntie” regularly.
