This surprised me in that it had a good, deep story to it. It felt more like an adult movie than a family movie. Really engrossing. Less comedy than I though there would be.

Still a wonderfully passionate and well crafted film. Killer choreography and way more emotional depth than you’d expect at first glance.

Skadooshed! 💥 Absolute work of art! 9/10.

A fun and entertaining watch but nothing more!

Seth Rogen is horribly miscast here. Aside from that, this is excellent. There's a fine line between profound and silly which is very tricky to pull off, and KFP does it nearly perfectly. It's funny and action-packed, with beautiful animation and dynamic camerawork (despite some occasionally dated CGI). The voice cast is impeccable (aside from Mantis), and the score really helps ground the movie in its setting. Add to that a simple, heartwarming story and you've got all the ingredients for my secret ingredient movie!

'gt;"To make something special you just have to believe it's special." Just as good as the first time I watched it. Jack Black is so wholesome in this you can help but smile while watching it. The action is pretty stellar and the colors pop. Can't wait to rewatch this with my kid in a few years.

A great animated wuxia journey with Jack Black. Very enjoyable to watch, but I am biased to Jack Black.

A movie that you appreciate more as you grow older. Great score, great voice actors, and a great story.

a movie titled Kung Fu Panda has no right to be this good

This film is such a delight, as well as funny and charming. Though the fight in the end has always sort of disappointed me. Since it’s goofy.

good funny and cute movie

I went in with very low expectations but left very impressed, the story is enjoyable, great animations, scenes 'amp; animation, a great film to watch alone or with anyone.

Entertainment in its purest form.

great movie. the very best was the Turtle Master. And Jack Black perfectly fits into this role. haha, get it? he '#39;fits'#39; in. Because.... he is... ah okay, you get it. Rating: 8/10

wasnt as funny as i initially suspected. didnt like it too much actually

Really funny. If you like martial arts this is another great look at it.

Spoilers

A fun, action-packed animated film with some timeless themes and life lessons thrown in. A bit too goofy at times and the comedy didn't always land, but was still an entertaining watch. The best parts for me were the words of wisdom from Master Oogway. There were so many great quotes. That alone made the movie worth the watch.

A good but surprisingly unfunny DreamWorks animation entry. I don't think it was meant to be unfunny though so that was a problem for me. Add that to the glut of martial arts movies of the recent past and there isn't much left that "Kung Fu Panda" has going for it. Yes the animation was top-notch and there were some well timed and flashy fight sequences. But the voice work was ordinary and Jack Black was just Jack Black (again). He's like Tom Cruise. Every movie he's in he's Tom Cruise not a character played by Tom Cruise. Same thing with Jack Black. Anyway this movie will play much better to kids than adults. You'll enjoy it more if you watch it with some hyperactive younglings.

Why is this movie so good? It really shouldn'#39;t be, but it is somehow.

Kung Fu Panda is an animated DreamWorks film, directed in 2008 by Mark Osborne and John Stevenson. It tells the story of a panda that, while helping his father in the noodle shop, dreams of becoming a martial arts master. When, one day, by chance, it sees himself thrown into the world of the Jade Palace to be educated, it is considered a hopeless case because of its physical form. Fortunately it manages to surprise everybody when the ferocious Tai Lung decides to return to destroy the valley. The cartoon is a nice tribute to the world of martial arts and a great motivator for the children that can reflect themselves in the main character, Po. In fact, first of all, it is able to pick itself up in a bullying situation and to gain the respect of his “enemies” and, secondly, it shows how if you really want something and work to get it in a merry way, you may realize your dreams. Not to mention the fact that Po is an atypical hero, fat and  with food problems – a very common thing in children today, but little shown in movies and on television – who uses his strengths to improve itself. The secondary characters are very nice, especially master Shifu that reminds me of Yoda from Star Wars, and the five cyclones that refer to the five styles of imitative kung fu: Tiger, Snake, Crane, Mantis and Monkey.

Wow, what a surprise this was! It looked like the stupidest movie ever by the trailers. Bit then when you actually sit down and watch it, it's not only one if the funniest, but also one of the most mature, profound, intense, action packed films you'll ever see! The perfect example of a "Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover" movie. **Total Score: 9.5/10**

So the rather clumsy and inept "Po" has dreams of saving the world! His real job is working in a noodle bar where one day, maybe, he will learn the secret ingredient that gives their dishes that special flavour. Meantime, the ageing "Oogway", the most learned of creatures, has informed his stalwart lieutenant "Shifu" that he will soon have to defend their "Valley of Peace" from the vengeful "Tai Lung" who, though currently incarcerated in a seemingly impregnable prison, is set to come and wreak some havoc. "Po" is determined to attend the selection ceremony and, well yes - you've guessed. He ends up selected by the old wise turtle, much to the chagrin and general disbelief of just about everyone else. Hopeless, hapless and helpless - but can "Po" prove his mettle and save the day? It's really quite good fun this. The characterisations are well developed and it has humour and style to it too. The animations are lively, vivid and the directors avoid the temptation to allow the combat and action scenes to descend into the all-too-often realms of repetitiveness. There is a moral - the values of teamwork and trust, honesty, integrity yada yada, but the story delivers them in a gentle and demonstrable manner via the plot and the characters rather than pontificating. All in all, this is great family fun that shows the (not so) little guy doing his best... Can he save the day?
