Definitely much less interesting than the first movie, maybe so because Hanekawa as a character is not very intriguing to me and most of the characterization we got here is stuff already explored in Bake. The amount of fanservice and perversion is also not my preference, and it takes away from the seriousness of the human drama. There is a level of comedy to it which works, but Bakemonogatari felt more tasteful with spacing it out (I just pretend the Hachikuji sections don't exist). Still fun to watch aside from that, the fights are interesting, and in terms of visuals and editing it's still stellar. Kizumonogatari might have one of my favorite aesthetics ever, especially when it's raining.

There is also a lack of Shinobu which made the first movie good in the first place, but the third movie will make up for it so it's all good.
