I loved this movie! The continuous contrast between what you see on the screen and the fragments of presidential motivational speeches (crap) is presented in a genius way and the ending speech of brad Pitt about thomas Jefferson just tops the cake! F'in perfect!

Let me sum up Killing Them Softly for you, a basic mob movie that wants to be more than that so Dominik concocts some pretentious connection between the mob and U.S. politics so that they can convince themselves their basic mob movie is more than that. Neo-noir crime thriller with dark humour, slow at times but good acting makes up for it, overall a solid and enjoyable crime film.

“Killing Them Softly” has a great noir setting, superb acting and excellent cinematography, but due to the endless pointless conversations, the thin storyline ends up being extremely incoherent.
