Shahid's Jersey is a soul-stirring and faithful remake of a beautiful story remade in Hindi. Shahid's impassioned performance, Gowtham's refined direction, and a soulful soundtrack make Jersey one of the most well-made remakes in recent times. For people who haven't witnessed the moving original starring Nani, this one still is bound to leave you in a state of catharsis. Due to tonne of reasons, Shahid's Jersey might not have worked in Box Office, be it that Nani's Original is viewed million times with dubbed Hindi audio, or the regular shifting of Release dates, or maybe the pandemic but Gowtham's Latest is still a heart-wrenching sports drama which is highly uplifting and moving. Shahid and Mrunal's hard work shows on screen and they have delivered with brilliance. Pankaj Kapoor was commendable as the Coach.
