Jaws 2 is a sequel to one of the most popular movies of all time. While it is no where near the quality of the original, it is by far the best of the sequels. Roy Scheider returns as Chief Brody and once again, he fears another shark is roaming the waters but no one believes him. The first half is almost the same as the first with a slow build up and I have no idea why they felt a sequel was necessary. I became irritated quickly having to see the mayor refuse to believe Brody once again because I had seen it before and it became old for me, The second half becomes a survival for the teens who are stranded and surrounded by the shark. It is not even close to being as frightening as the first when they constantly show the shark and it ruins any tension it may of had. A lot of the kids were not very interesting and the film gave us no reason to really who survives. The ending was quite fun and was certainly the most enjoyable. It is not as awful as 3 and 4 and it seemed to be made with at least some thought into it, just not a whole lot.
