It's a heavy premise that creates a story that already causes considerable discomfort right from the start. The movie has a slow pace and is long, but as it unfolds everything becomes darker, more uncomfortable and weirder. The performances are strong, enhanced by a morbid atmosphere of melancholy, pessimism and anguish, creating a total destabilization of the environment and scenes of absurd impact.

Yikes, while not a bad movie by any means, it's a very hard movie to watch. I wouldn't watch this unless you're comfortable watching scenes where young boys get non graphically raped and murdered. It's a hard one to sit through but the story isn't bad, especially for being made in 1987.

Disturbing dark movie from the start. It's set in one home and with few characters, yet it does a good job at creating a changing environment and plot. However it still does feel at little slow at times.
