totally bad... superbad story superbad fiction... she steal her information but she dont know the debit card password. she print own debit card. he learn a 2500$ credit card debt. and dont call a bank. and dont freeze a services... totally bullshit. and not the movie not the funny.

if you go beyond all the things that don'#39;t make sense, it is kind of funny.

Decent movie. Lots of subtle humor.

Didn'#39;t like this movie at all, it could be better as the topic was really great but Unfortunatly the movie is just zero.

You can't go wrong watching anything starring Melissa McCarthy. A comic genius.

'gt;"These aren't your friends. They like you because you're buying them drinks. People like you don't have friends." The Melissa McCarthy phase was wild huh? Every movie was very similar but at least her and Bateman had good chemistry in this. I am not saying it's good, but at least that's something.

Really great comedy! I loved watching it and I love the choice of actors for the two main characters. They both fit so well and have done a great job.

In truth there'#39;s not much to this movie, director Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses and the upcoming Unchartered based on Naughty Dog'#39;s Award Winning Playstation game and Wargames, a reboot of the Acclaimed Matthew Broderick 1983 original) tries to do a good job with the limited script and in all fairness what I believe makes the movie watchable is Jason Bateman (Horrible Bosses, Horrible Bosses 2) and Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids, The Heat, St Vincent), the laughs come from the interactions between Jason and Melissa and towards the end does become alittle absurd. But apart from this and being in my opinion a little long for what it offers in entertainment (1hr 30min would of easily been better) it offers a couple of laughs. With Melissa on fine form with Sandra Bullock in '#39;The Heat'#39; I find it difficult to recommend, unless your having a Melissa McCarthy movieathon that is.

Formulaic road trip comedy, but the actors make the jokes funny

Surprisingly watchable! Also a surprisingly intelligent comedy, an observation likely due to the negative expectations I had going in.

Funny, funny, funny

No hay por donde pillarla.

Good watch, probably won't watch again, and can recommend. This actually reminds me a lot of "Bounty Hunter", but with distinct elements of "Guest House" and "The Hustle". It's honestly disturbing to me to see the anatomy of a sociopath laid out in a movie like this, but it does thoroughly example both what it is like to have your identity stolen and the kind of monsters that do that sort of thing. Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy are both top notch comedic actors, but some of the scenes were a little hammy, even for them. A lot of the movie sort of feels like a VERY long SNL sketch where people are going, "Wouldn't this be funny?" and someone always went, "Yeah, put that in, why not?". It's not that it's not good, but it could have been great.

Friends don't steal friends' identities, do they? While not quite the abomination that some critics have suggested it is, Identity Thief is a hard film to recommend to film fans looking for a comedy to cheer them up. Too long at just under two hours length, the makers appear to have dropped Melissa McCarthy in the middle of a film, built a load of questionable on going gags around her, and then thrown Jason Bateman in for the charm offensive. Then as the film runs out of steam at the mid-point, it gets caught in a vortex of contrivances and pseudo serious statements. It's a real hodge-podge of a script that does the actors no favours at all. A great premise is not fulfilled, sadly. Identity Thief only escapes bottom of the ladder status because fans of the two leads will find a modicum of enjoyment in their respective efforts. 5/10
