Uh, so she's basically some sort of
demonic master?
This is not a real review, it should be understood more as a collection of impressions on the film. This film is also nice but it makes enormous efforts to seem like an author's film and in this it fails quite a bit and it's a shame because as horror it is valid as it is very old fashioned and there are no jumpscares. So it can be said that if one leaves out this ridiculous attempt to be a somewhat busy film, the film is very enjoyable even if it is really too slow in some points, especially at the beginning because the right pace is only achieved at the end. However, we must also talk about the last scene which is useless and unnecessary and adds nothing to the film and I wonder why they included it.

Like me cleaning on Sunday: Slow to get started but picks up in the end. This prequel to the (surprisingly good) Spanish ouija board film Verónica wastes it's first two acts on dream sequences and repetitive inexplicable phenomena before deciding it needs to get down to work.

Having not seen anything from Paco Plaza especially Veronica. This being a prequel I didn't know what to expect. Beautiful cinematography and style managed to keep me awake until the second half which was brilliantly done and worth it in the end. Guess I'm gonna watch Veronica now.

This is a fantastic movie, please enter carefully, don't expect the most scary movie ever, but a very cinematic, well written and developed story with a very sad background in itself Yes it's slow, but it's the perfect way to develop a story like this one, and at the end it's worth the wait! :clap_tone1::clap_tone1::clap_tone1:

Good origin for the Sister Narcisa' story. When I watched Verónica, I was really curious about her background story. Nice movie, even though it is a little slow at the beginning, it is not boring to watch.

If you think about it, there is an obvious plot hole :
the reason of Rosa's death
. Apart from that, I really appreciated the aesthetics of the film and the slow burn but the "burn" itself was really fast at the end.

Extremely slow start but worth it in the end

Not bad, although some things happen that do not make sense with the explanation.

I don't know what's in the water, but religious nun horror has been hitting for me lately. A "mostly just vibes" type of movie.

Unbelievable nonsense and a waste of time, but what else can you expect from a company like Netflix, finding a good horror movie there is more like a miracle. So no surprise.
