Heart of an Oak

Heart of Oak gave me no wood. Look, I don't like documentaires and I don't like nature, but that's not why I didn't like this movie. The idea of making a documentary about all the life that exists in and around an oak tree over the course of a year is intriguing, up until that moment you understand they are manufacturing some of the images. If you're going to make a movie about animals and insects and use CGI, why not have them sing some songs and tell jokes while you're at it? Anyway, whatever this movie is, it isn't a documentary. Not made for kids (there is no dialog, voice over or story line) and not made for adults (none of the predators ever catch the prey they're after -- wherever this was filmed it no doubt has the skinniest frogs, foxes, boars, snakes, hawks and owls on the planet), one wonders of the only person this was made for is nobody?
