Harold and the Purple Crayon

Name one movie where "animated character comes to the real world" has ever been a good movie.

“Harold and his magic pencil” is a story with a super creative premise: what would happen if what you draw became reality? Harold’s journey from the fictional world to the real one is full of moments that make you think and, at the same time, laugh at the absurd situations he faces. It has its magical moments, especially in how it explores the power of imagination and the importance of creativity, but it also takes its time to get going. Some parts feel a little predictable or perhaps too “light” for what could have been a great epic adventure, but it makes up for it with endearing characters and moments full of wit. Of course, the central theme about how to deal with what we create, whether on paper or in real life, is well resolved. It's a solid 7/10. It won't be the deepest story you read, but it will surely make you smile more than once and leave you thinking about how powerful imagination can be. Ideal if you are looking for something light, creative and with a touch of humor!
