Loosely based in Shakespeare's 'Hamlet', this is an incredible film of an epic scale about war, suffering revenge and a man's descent towards madness

A SUPERB adaptation of Hamlet into the contemporary Kashmiri struggle. While some bits felt a bit forced -- they did stay true to the plot points of Hamlet after all and so had to force a few -- the rest flowed as naturally as if The Bard wrote Hamlet for this very concept. Recommended even if you aren't familiar with Hamlet (though it helps if you are).

As a Shakespearean actor, I can tell you this film is the BEST adaptation of one of his plays I have ever seen. It is in the same class as Kurasawa's RAN.
