Nice to watch a comedy that doesn'#39;t have to simply resort to foul language, idiocy and crudeness to try to get laughs. I thought it actually had some really funny moments and the wife and I enjoyed it.
Many funny actors in a movie with no funny scenes. Didn'#39;t like it.
Not even remotely funny if you are over 12. Don'#39;t watch it.
45 | Grown Ups make you want to spend your time with families and friends just to hang out. Talking about the past as a teenager, making fun of each other, and enjoying life. Grown Ups had many jokes that could make us relate to our relationship with our best friends. But a few times the jokes overlapped each other that only weaken themselves. It was a dumb film, and that was what it was intended to be. If we expect something deep and serious we watching the wrong movie. Talking about dumb, what made a comedy film hard to make is how to create a funny situation without losing its logic. This film was not that successful done it, but it was understandable. ••••••••••••••••••••••• Rating: 44.92 Plot P1: 1.1 P2: 0.9 P3: 0.6 P4: 0.4 Director: Dennis Dugan Favorite Characters 1. 1.2: Kevin James as Eric Lamonsoff 2. 1.0: Adam Sandler as Lenny Feder 3. 1.0: Salma Hayek as Roxanne Chase-Feder 4. 1.0: Maya Rudolph as Deanne McKenzie 5. 0.7: Rob Schneider as Rob Hilliard 6. 0.7: David Spade as Marcus Higgins Written by Kornelius Harda Wicaksana
I'#39;ll show you a grown-up...what was that Billy??..uhhhhhhh nothing Miss Vaughn!!!
idk i just dont really like it, used to have to watch it in school and hated it, maybe that ruined it for me.
Not super special, a comedy that I will probably quickly forget. Nice camera work.

the most fun I've ever had in a movie!!!!¡
Good light fun with a great cast for the job. Popcorn cinema.
I wouldn't say that this is a film that is perfectly made but it is one that packs great family fun entertainment. This is the second time I've seen this, first time being when it came out and I forgot how much I enjoyed it. I would recommend this to everybody as a film to watch for some light entertainment.
6/10 It had some funny moments
A number one hit summer classic☀
My average rating 8.8 out of 10.
'gt;'#34;We needed to be here. Our kids were turning into snotty, spoiled, little. This is what we needed.'#34; There is something about Adam Sandler movies that have his signature touches: Jokes that are not subtle, physical humor, and serious moments that have joke at the end of them. Lately they don'#39;t work for me as much, but at least in Grown Ups you can tell it'#39;s a bunch of friends having fun making the movie.
all these top tier comedy people and no comedy? at all? you have adam sandler, kevin james, chris rock, david spade, and rob schneider all together and you manage to make this shitshow of a movie. i do find it cool that kevin and salma who both co-starred in here comes the boom were in the movie together. i watched it a while ago so i cant remember if they were together in the movie or not but its just cool
i'd play it as a litmus test for my dates but idk if that wouldn't constitute abuse
just watch it when you wanna good time. dont expect good story or anything but it will make u laugh for shore.
This was very cheap comedy, i didn’t laugh a lot.
Good But Who Wants To See
David Spades Ass
?
To be honest, it wasn'#39;t bad, but it'#39;s still leagues away from being good.

_"Looks like somebody has to learn how to pass the Kentucky Fried Chicken."_ Well, I'll start by saying that I've watched this film before, a long time ago. I seem to remember that I thought it was super funny and enjoyable. But now that I think about it further, I could be remembering the second film; I don't remember. I guess I'll find out soon enough; if I enjoy it better than this one. Maybe it's a matter of having a different perspective now, and it'll be the same as this one, regardless of whether I did like that one more: I won't enjoy it as much as I think I did years ago. But, yeah. That time I watched this film and supposedly liked it a lot is in the past and irrelevant. Because, this time, that was not the case. Sure, this film is super easygoing and pleasant to watch, but that doesn't amount to much if it falls short, entertainment-wise and enjoyment-wise. And that's this film. Not only did this film fall short, in general, for the most part, but it was also a comedy film. Where's the comedy? There were _some_ moments, I suppose; that were decent enough concerning that aspect. But you'd probably be expecting _a lot_ more when you watch a film that's _specifically_ a comedy film, or any genre for that matter: expecting more from that genre and everything it entails. But it's all about individuality. Right? Everyone's different at the end of the day. And since there's a second _Grown Ups_ film, there must've been more than enough people who were different to where this film was 110% hilarious for them. I'm not one of those people, which is new for me. I never seem to be with the majority when it comes to films and TV shows. Not this time, it seems. Of course, I don't think this was a bad film, so if people among the majority have that opinion, I guess that, even with this film, I'm still not 100% with the majority, oddly enough. I wasn't that entertained, is all. It is what it is. You can't like them all. Individuality: a thing of beauty. This film was _somewhat_ enjoyable, though. And I guess you could say that I'm using the word 'somewhat' in a reluctant way to an extent. Upon rewatching this film two times, it wasn't as unenjoyable as I initially thought. But everything I've said previously still stands, I suppose. Other thoughts: - The kids who played the younger versions of the five main characters were well-cast. Maybe some more than others, I don't know. But they looked close enough. - The guy who went down the water slide after Jasmine did was Norm MacDonald, I'm pretty sure. I think he had a role in this film. But all of the scenes were cut. They kept the one with the water slide, though. And it's easy to miss him, so that's probably why. Talk about a surprising appearance. - Another surprising appearance was Steve Buscemi. He always seems to be giving a similar performance with each role, but this is only the second time I've seen him in a film/TV show. It's almost like he's too distinctive. Maybe it's the way he looks. Or he could act most of his roles similarly. His more popular roles/performances are probably way different, though.

"Life can be difficult sometimes, it gets bumpy. What with family and kids and things not going exactly like you planned. But that's what makes it interesting. In life the first act is always exciting. The second act... that is where the depth comes in." I used to hate almost everything that was attached to Adam Sandler because I thought that was the right thing to do as someone who loves movies but I've outgrown that phase. Adam Sandler has made fun movies and some great ones too. So I decided to rewatch Grown Ups to see if it could change my mind. And in the end it did. It isn't as boring and horrible as I said and thought it was when it came out. It is your run the mill Sandler movie with his friends but hey, if you can take a vacation with your friends and get paid for it, who wouldn't do it? Everyone plays the character you expect them to play and it hit most of the beats you expect it would hit and that is okay. For the 98 minute run time it doesn't overstay it's welcome. The plot is very thin but it will make you chuckle. Some of the "grosser" humor like with the milk didn't hit me. But I enjoyed seeing Kevin James and Mr. Schneider in pain. In the end I'm happy that these days I can watch Adam Sandler and not hate the movie beforehand and today I accept that as a huge win.
