I felt myself so exhilarated at the last scene for Nick’s sake, because finally he managed to be quit of Connie, who was - and don't sugarcoat it - a scumbag. Connie is the kind of man who gets away with everything, saves himself and leaves everyone and everything behind him just for secure his money and freedom. He doesn't care about anybody, meanwhile his handicapped brother Nick thinks he's a trustworthy man. Robert Pattinson performed this repugnant character wonderfully, and I also found the song choices brilliant, they really fit to the frames, but that's all for the advantages. These features added 2 points to my rating.
Everything seemed to me poorly written from
Nick was caught up by the police
until that aforementioned last scene.
The girlfriend has not done anything meaningful to have a reason putting her into the movie. Everyone was so incompetent around Connie, inter alia when he escaped that other guy from the hospital and sneaked him into the ambulance. Then, as he and the teenage girl have been watching the TV she’s not able to recognize Connie in the news. C'mon! I didn’t like how he beaten that security guy up, and then the police bought his story. Of course, he got caught at the end, but that wasn't satisfying by itself, that therapy scenes had to be happened, which felt overwhelmingly right to me.
