During an assignment, foreign correspondent Steve Martin spends a layover in Tokyo and is caught amid the rampage of an unstoppable prehistoric monster the Japanese call 'Godzilla'. This version reminds me of those Lost episodes when they introduced new characters by showing previous footage with an added perspective.

The Americans basically took the 1954 original Japanese movie and added some English speaking scenes in order to make it an English movie. Well, the original is better, bur this is Ok too.

I watched the original and this one back to back. Can't believe this godawful bastardized version was the only one available for 50 years.
