Overview

Ghoulies II picks up a short time after the first movie, a few of the little nasties stow away on an amusement park ride and bring big bucks to a dying fair. The creatures are mad after an attempt to kill them, so the creatures go on a rampage through the fairgrounds, ultimately leading to an explosive conclusion!

'gt;*"I'm a magician, you sons of bitches! You can't kill me!"* Enter Satan's Den if you dare! This one actually focuses on the Ghoulies for a change, instead of a random subplot like the first did. More weird Ghoulies crazyness, more kills, more blood, more characters and it's set at a carnival. The comedy is hit and miss but way better than the first. **Ghoulies II** absolutely knows how stupid and ridiculous it is and plays on that, making it decent B-movie material. I had a good time, it was entertaining and fun. And always remember to look in the toilet before sitting down, folks.

Better than the first one, but only just. At least this one makes you laugh a little... Still not worth it...and I'm giving up on this franchise...for now.

Ghoulies II: Ghoulies Join the Circus! Okay, that wasn't the subtitle, but it should have been. Anyone who knows the _Ghoulies_ movies understands what the films are: low-rent _Gremlins_ (1984-1990). Now, if the _Gremlins_ films were too close to being kids' movies, then _Ghoulies_ will be better for you. These are definitely horror... PG-13, but horror nevertheless - with the exception of parts three, and four, being R. Let's stick to part two: this is silly '80s cheese, but it's fairly entertaining. Now, a problem with the first movie is that the titular characters were underutilized. Well, fear not, they are all throughout this movie, even though they are not the focus. The movie is set at a circus, and the story is really a drama about a greedy promoter coming in and threatening to make changes. Aside from that, the Ghoulies are just there. Most of the time, they are in Satan's Den - a spook house - apparently they couldn't find the exit, they had to wait for a hole to be blown through the wall, so they could get out. The third act has them terrorizing people on rides, and elsewhere. We even get a giant Ghoulie at the end. Blood, and gore are minimal; this is definitely a soft PG-13. Overall, it's a fun time. If you dig silly 1980s horror, give it a watch.

_Ghoulies II_ is the fun that the first movie should have been. "Good" might be too strong a word for this one, but it's a definite course correction for the series, 'cause unlike the first _Ghoulies_, I actually enjoyed my time with this one. _Final rating:★★★ - I liked it. Would personally recommend you give it a go._
