Favorite of the franchise so far. This is more my style of slasher. So energetic, thrilling, entertaining and fun! The intro to this one is cooler than anything i've seen in the five previous movies. It's kinda the same intro as the previous with people digging up Jason again but it's done way better, that corpse with the worms looked fantastic and the lightning feels like an iconic moment. This is the Jason I wanted. They actually show him the whole runtime instead of waiting until the third act and he's actually cool for a change and has a bunch of slapstick comedic moments like when he took that machete.

The one-liners and comedy are great. They still cut the scenes too soon during the kills but we're starting to see more and they're getting more creative. The RV crash and Jason coming out of there unscratched was so badass, the man just made a name for himself that was the best sequence. I was surprised to see kids actually arrive at the camp for a change and at the end of the day i'm a bit puzzled at why they were included, all they did was become dead weight and it brought down the third act a little. Such a silly nonsensical last 10-15 minutes on the water but I love it somehow.
