He's back, in 3D. This was more of the same from the first two, a mix of *Part I* who was boring and slow and *Part II* who was fun and thrilling. The first half was so slow, the character buildup felt forced and it's Jason-less but then the second half was a blast once he showed up and the kills start piling up.

Jason finally gets his mask but he was somehow less cool than the potato bag version in the second. The plot is to blame (and those cargo pants) he just seemed like a dummy in some moments and fell to the ground violently after being hit by a log. Would never see Michael or Freddy do that... get your shit together man.

I'm confused as to why they didn't keep the previous final girl for this movie, we instead start over with another skin of the same character steriotype. For a while I thought we were getting a final boy with Shelly sinse he was the best character but it wasn't the case which is a shame.

This one has a lot more comedy which I appreciate, the motorcycle guy breaking the car was hilarious and the kills are darkly comedic. Not impressed with the kills in the first half but it got much better in the second (harpoon, hammock, eye-popping). Intense score once again. What an ugly mug in those final moments it looks like Jason might be related to Belial (*Basket Case*).
