Once a legend in the brutal world of illicit underground fighting, Shane Slavin (Daniels) decides to turn his life around, promising his wife and young son he's fought his last battle. I discovered this on the Spanish-language channel UniMás on a weekend while waiting through a football game's halftime. While it's a good, loud action film to turn the volume up & listen while doing other things in the room & w/ decent violence to get your attention, the storyline & characters are too pedestrian to not have me, um, multitask. & while I'm not completely fluent in Spanish, I wouldn't mind if I even saw this in the Philippines & heard it in Tagalog as I don't wanna listen to the dialogue & follow the mundane plot & cast. The only star, or just actor, I recognize is "Robocop"'s Peter Weller as the villain. I could pursue "Forced to Fight" on streaming services if it's there, but I'm content just coming across it on TV, even in Spanish.
