The subject matter is heavy and inspired by real events, provoking an intense sense of shock and revulsion towards the events and the people of the community involved. However, the film fails to live up to its potential, with a dragging pace that makes it excessively long. Few moments really stand out as relevant, and the performances are average, with poorly developed characters who fail to sustain the narrative effectively.
