Who would have thought that something as unexcited as the intermittent windshield wipers could be at the buttom of a movie script. Now, I already knew the story because of my interest in things automotive. Of course this is much more than a story about wipers. It's one man's crusade against corporations who think they could get away with anything. Due to the nature of the story and the slow moving plot that spans years it isn't a movie for someone looking for action and excitement. But if you like the David vs. Goliath like tale you might enjoy this wether you're in to car history or not.

This was a solid film with a solid cast. It was an interesting story about how one man was ripped off by the automotive industry. The thing is, I came away from this thinking about how corporations steal from consumers on a daily basis, sometimes in big amounts, sometimes in small amounts. However, for those that work in partnership with these corporations, when they steal from them, they're not only stealing what is often someone's life's work, they're also stealing their livelihood. And, this doesn't stop there, it also causes limitless stress on people, and it destroys families, sometimes communities. When corporations engage in this type of behavior, those who benefit from this, those at the top of the corporate structure, the founders of the firm, they and their families should feel the same fire that they so willingly throw others into.

I'm an engineer and I sincerely believe that intellectual property theft from an individual is a crime that should be comparable to murder, IMHO. This movie is amazing. I became very emotional during certain parts seeing the mental trauma and the agony Robert Kearns went through. I hope he was content and happy with the recognition he received from the world before he departed it in 2005. Greg Kinnear did an amazing job portraying Robert Kearns' struggle.
