Interesting to be sure, with relevant messages about racism and fear, and excellent acting from the cast. It becomes a little chaotic towards the end but despite this, the film is still worth watching.

I was ready to skip this after seeing it was from the director of last year’s atrocious R:pound_symbol:J but I’m glad I didn’t. This is the type of movie a lot of people think they are making when they try to tackle social issues head on, juggles the tension, comedy and message with ease. Well done

It wanted to be funny, but it wasn't. It wanted to be serious but it wasn't. It turns out it wanted to copy Superbad, but it couldn't.

This really wasn't what I was expecting. It started off as a teen/young adult dramedy, replete with stereotypical caricatures that bordered on being racist, but in the final third of the film, they delved into important topics regarding systemic racism, white privilege, what it means to be a person of color in America, police fascism, and the after-effects of traumatic experiences. Donald Watkins carried this film, and I look forward to seeing more of him.
