Ok, it's pretty bad actually. No surprise, that's the curse of Disney sequels.
I think that the true charm of the first film is seeing the reality and how Giselle behaved in the daily life in New York. The gray tones, the people going from one place to another, the big city, Robert as a lawyer. I don't know, they were just things that fit together and made you feel that even though it was a Disney movie, it's... different. Like, more realistic.
In this case, this movie it's just the same. A basic concept. They bring the idea of aim for Disney classics and make references to princess movies, like the first one. But seeing Robert acting stupid (trying to be a prince or a knight, I suppose), just doesn't make sense to me.
I think the only good thing about this movie is
seeing Amy Adams act as an evil stepmother. I loved her acting and versatility.
The musical moments were very meh, EXCEPT the one that Malvina and Gisselle sing, that one was pretty good, I liked it. AND the Nancy's song. Idina Menzel's voice is a magical journey that I will never get tired of.
In the end it is a movie to pass the time, it is not memorable, it could not exist and it would have the same effect. I watched it because I had just seen the first one and wanted to know what was happening with the characters, but the truth is, it was just "meh".
