_Death Race: Beyond Anarchy_ goes full exploitation in an incredibly desperate attempt to revive the franchise. Sort of a soft reboot, the film takes place several years after the previous ones in a dystopian future where the Death Race is now an illegal broadcast on the Dark Web from a city prison that has been walled off and is controlled by the inmates (a la _Escape from New York_), and the prison sends in an agent undercover to infiltrate the race and beat the inmate’s leader, Frankenstein, in order to get the prison back under control. A couple of actors from the previous films are brought back, adding a sense of continuity, but they feel forced in. And the excessive nudity and violence feels really gratuitous. The worst film of the franchise, _Death Race: Beyond Anarchy_ has none of the fun that the previous films had.
