I'll see you soon, my love. No matter where you are in this world.

That was good! The conflict was interesting, the nod at the autism spectrum was unexpected and it worked quiet well, John's dad was heartwarming. John and Savannah were cute. The "see you soon, then" thing was awful tho hfgfhjgjjj i cringed every time they said it. But still.. i enjoyed myself! 7/10

I did not expect anything more than a love story but this was so much more.

Not a fan of military propaganda movies, but I appreciate the rare accurate portrayal of autism (especially in adults!), and Amanda Seyfried singing is always a plus.

That was actually really sad. I cried a bit for John.

The concept of "True love always wins in the end" is painfully unrealistic. Stop this nonsense.

Well, It's boring... Wasted two hours of my short holiday

One of my Favorite Authors is #nicholassparks. All movies based off his books are awesome in my opinion!

This movie is definitely NOT comparable to "The Notebook" like some people have been saying. It was nothing special, so I wouldn't watch it again, but I'd say it's good for a chick flick night. Another one of those movies like that looked SO much better on the commercials.

_Dear John_ cranks up the melodrama in true Nicholas Sparks fashion, but it’s tough to ignore the solid performances at its core. Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried have this undeniable chemistry that sells the whirlwind romance, even when the plot feels like a well-worn path. Tatum, in particular, shines as John, playing the soldier torn between duty and love. But it’s the father-son relationship that hits the hardest. The emotional goodbye to his father is just as gut-punching as his farewell to Savannah, adding layers you don’t usually expect in your typical romantic drama. Lasse Hallström brings his signature warm touch, making even the most predictable plot points feel personal. You’ve got all the classic Sparks stuff—sandy beaches, handwritten letters, and star-crossed lovers—but the real standout is how the film dives into deeper connections, showing that communication goes beyond just words. The cinematography? Gorgeous. While the movie doesn’t exactly reinvent the wheel, it knows its audience and delivers on that sweet, emotional tension. Yeah, it’s sentimental and predictable, but that’s also kind of the point, right? If you’re looking for an old-school tearjerker with a stunning cast and beautiful backdrops, _Dear John_ does what it’s supposed to. It’s simple, heartfelt, and totally designed to yank at those heartstrings—so, maybe stock up on tissues before you hit play.

Not a big fan of this movie. I thought the girl was messed up in this movie. Not sure what kind of romance this was suppose to be, but it was dumb.
