_Dead Drop_ is yet another of those _"It's not really a movie; it's just two 45-minute episodes of a TV series pieced together"_ disjointed, makes-absolutely-no-sense-unless-you're-following-the-whole-series direct-to-video "movies" churned out. Seriously, this 90-minute segment (it really can't be considered a movie because it doesn't have its own storyline) would baffle anyone who just plucked this out of the $1 bargain bin (the only place you'd find it) and tried to watch it as a full-length motion picture. Unless you've been following the entire TV show from Season 1, this will make absolutely no sense because you'll have no idea who the characters are, or what the story's about. As it is, it just muddies the waters and makes no sense. Even the ending is a "cliffhanger" (or at least what passes for anything suspenseful about a Seagal movie). It's the same old stuff as every other one of these _True Justice_ films: Chase a bunch of bad guys around, get chased by a bunch of bad guys, empty 100 clips into thin air and never hit anything, until Seagal shows up to save the day with his great martial arts skills. Look, I like Seagal and I was a fan of his early movies, but eventually everything starts to grow wearisome, and these are no different. The plot is paper-thin, the acting (in Season 2 of _True Justice_ ) is as wooden and forgettable as anything you can find, and these are just a waste of time.

Why am I watching them? Well, it's because I determined (for whatever insane reason) that I wanted to watch every movie/show that Steven Seagal ever made, and so I continue plodding through these. I hold absolutely no hope that his full-length actual motion pictures - once the TV series has played out - will be any more riveting, but I'm just trying to get through this _True Justice_ series. Ironically, Season 1 (of this show) was MUCH more interesting, had much better character development, and the crew members of Elijah Kane's (Steven Seagal's character) SIU team were much easier to buy into. Here, I feel absolutely nothing for any of the characters and what I'm hoping is that in the concluding "movie" (which, undoubtedly, will be episodes 11-13) all of his team members will be killed off and Kane (Seagal) will ride off into the sunset. One can always hope...
