Very average horror. I didn't like the way the story was told, the acting was pretty poor and it just seemed to drag and try to rip off The Evil Dead.

There is some great - not just good, but genuinely **great** - gore effects in _Darkness Rising_. But it sucks. It sucks a lot, and as much as I've got an affection for Katrina Law after spending so much time with her in _Spartacus_ and _Arrow_, she is not a great actress, not in general and not in More
