Wow, that was.. disturbing. I already think kids are monstrous and savages, this made it even worse lol The burning scene was quite satisfying though, and Patriot's death scene too, ugh that felt amazing. Anyway, I kinda didn't like the ending? I was expecting something after the burning scene, so I thought that was weird..

This was a wonderful, mindless horror-comedy that had just enough splatters and low-brow comedy to satisfy genre fans. The plot may be threadbare, but the stellar cast helps make it work. There's a perverse catharsis to be had in seeing teachers take out their anger and suppressed aggression on a bunch of (zombified) asshole kids. And there are a couple one-liners that are delivered perfectly. "Look! Carnage!" will be something I think to myself whenever I watch zombie flicks going forward.

It's well produced, well acted and well directed, but that doesn't really save the rather lame plot. For a horror comedy though, it's still decent. Goofy and gory as it should be, but not particularly funny much less scary. It provided some entertainment even when the genre isn't the most appealing to me.

Cooties is unapologetic in what it is. A gory, silly, horror story, with some barely seen and hinted at grue, a lot of daft humour and thrilling escapades.
