Summary: What felt like another refresh of the story, it didn't hit as hard as 3 and 1 did. Overall, a good film with good characters and storyline but it felt too slow at times and took too long to get to the climax. Even the climax felt too short. I love the anti-slavery philosophy and I adore how each movie has a deep message engrained in it. 6/10 Pros: • They hit hard on the Fascist police superstate and how they treat the apes. And I love how they correlate their history to the apes we saw in the future. They are color coordinated as prisoners and then in the future, they stick with that coordination. • Most emotion we see from any of the ape films so far. Caesar's emotion to Armando's death was great. Cons: • The random blank stares of Milo during the start of the ape disobedience was just funny and corny to me. • The fake electrocution death was so funny to me. He fakes it then the guard is just like "He's dead" without checking any vitals.

This movie leaves me baffled. Fifty years after this movie was made we’re still fighting injustice and inequality. People say they fear crime and violence but already three thousand men have been freed and it seems the only crime committed is looking different. I question what if George Floyd had gotten up and murdered those who were torturing him, what would have happened to those who looked like him? We can look at Palestine, one monkey decided to get back up and fight back causing a war between two nations. In the real world, I’m waiting to see the end but it seems we haven’t learned anything in fifty years.

That last 20 min ruined it for me I just couldn't take it seriously. It just seemed like there were more and more apes than what we saw throughout the film, and even worse where were the police at the end.

I would have given McDowall an Oscar for this - I think he was that good ! What he brings to life through this heavy make up is lifts this movie up.

Now, I've watched the original "Ape" movies more then once. But whereas in the past I never thought really high of the later installments by now I'v More

This is the fourth film of the "Planet of the Apes" series and even though there have been quite a few moments when I have seriously questioned the choices made by the writers, I have been pleased with the acting and the direction. In fact, it has become entertaining just sitting back and wondering More

'Conquest of the Planet of the Apes' is the weakest of the first four films. It's watchable, still.

It shares similarities to 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' from the rebooted 2010s series, though it isn't quite as entertaining or convincing. Serviceable it is, however. Roddy M More

Last year, "Cornelius" and "Zira" were back in the 1970s. Now we scoot forward a few millennia and find that the Simian flu has robbed humankind of it's pets. Always in need of something to feed, comb and to take for walks, we have decided to domesticate chimps. The thing is, though, that this plan More
