great movie, with great acting and a great message. There was some questionable behavior that wouldn't be in the movie anymore if it was made today, but that was the only downside for me. 7,5/10

This is one of the best movies I've seen that deals with education and sport. We get attached to a team of young men who, through the role model that is coach Carter, finally hope for something better for their own lives. The movie also tackles the issue of the equality of chances and how you have to try harder than others when you come from an unprivileged neighborhood. Feel good movie. Definitely recommend.

Watched it again yesterday and the movie is definetelly recommended. Just Jackson helps save the movie from generally speaking very bad actors. There are little basketball scenes. The movie focueses more on social-political issues. As a non American, I'm always perplexed when American schools and ganster culture. Anyhow, a very nice moview to watch. Whoever does 800 pushups should get the oscar for the most fit actor.
