On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie, on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary yellow VW bug.

This is the most I've cared about the human story in any transformers. It has a lot of heart and is quite funny too. The music is fantastic and it never lets you forget you are in the 80s. Hailee Steinfeld is great and John Cena does what he does best. The action isn't too over the top. There are definitely the way too much CGI parts but those are few and far between. I would like to see more prequel stories with new people every time without Michael Bay.

FINALLY A GOOD TRANSFORMERS MOVIE! less explosions, less dumb gags, less Michael Bay! Hailee Steinfeld is wonderful and John Cena...I mean, there is no movie John Cena wouldn't make better so... yeah, I loved Bumblebee.

Apparently not being a Michael Bay style movie makes it a good movie?? yes im very much attacking all the 7-9 scores this movie is generously getting. Personally love the movie all you want but this movie is really really bad. objectively! . uninteresting , cringy , full of bad acting and moments. It had great potential. But it failed. Michael Bay movies were also bad but at least they made it up for all that with the flashy visuals and action. This movie lacks that too. BumbleBee is a DUMB movie. waste of time and potential.

Strong contender for best live-action _Transformers_ movie ever made, but Christ, what a low fuckin' bar that is. The fact it isn't the clear and absolute winner is a devastating criticism.

'Bumblebee' is a decent attempt at a reset of sorts for this franchise, but unfortunately I found it to be a bit boring. There admittedly isn't much to whine about, though alternatively nothing overtly positive springs to my mind about it either. It is still one of the better from the serie More

Decent, by the numbers, popcorn movie. Better than the other live action Transformers movie, but still not very good. Best parts were the fight scenes, especially on Cybertron. Otherwise, it was average, 5/10.

So I thought that "Herbie" had it tough! Well his traumas look like tea with the Queen compared to poor old "Bumblebee"!
