I had been hunting for this movie for so long. It is damn near impossible to find, then out of nowhere it just pops up. After finally seeing it, I can say that it is a complete let down.
There have been many adaptations of the Carmella story - I have seen almost all of the movies, and I have read the book - this one is such a waste of time. This is not a horror movie, and it is barely a vampire movie.
The most we get is a single bloody boob, and one offscreen death. The majority of the film is just people sitting around a house, dancing or walking.
Likely what has kept this movie alive is the lesbian theme, which is weak, and merely results in one of the least-passionate kisses in cinema history.
Nothing really happens in this movie. There are several long stretches without dialog, to the degree that if this were a silent, black and white film, I'd probably enjoy it more.
Just a huge waste of time. If you like slow, boring movies that talk about vampires, but never actually payoff a vampire story...skip it, because no one should watch this. Just go watch _Female Vampire_ (1973) instead... at least that one has Lina Romay nude for almost the entire movie.

Post script: There is a scene where a fox is captured, I don't think he was actually hurt, but the scene goes nowhere - just like every other part of this. Just pisses me off that the filmmaker wanted to mistreat a fox. How about you leave the animals alone and make a good movie?
