I love this movie. It's cheesy, full of cliche moments but damn it's entertaining. The stunts are some of the most incredible stunts of all time. The score is epic too. Plus it has Kurt Russell.

Film 37 (Goal: 300) of 2024 I really enjoyed Backdraft. The scenes taking place inside the burning buildings are masterfully done and convey the dangers that I assume the brave firefighters are facing every day, in a way I don't think many films achieve. The script isn't perfect but there's enough here that works, added with the talented cast (Kurt Russell and Robert DeNiro standout) that the film gets by. But the real star of the show is Howard's directing during those aforementioned scenes.
