Srijit Mukherji's directorial debut, Autograph, has been a long-awaited watch for me, with its soundtrack being a staple in my playlist since its release. Upon finally viewing the film, I found myself appreciating its bookend structure, with the beginning and ending leaving a lasting impression. The title Autograph aptly encapsulates the film's essence, cleverly weaving together themes and narratives. However, the budgetary constraints are evident, hindering the full potential of certain scenes. One can't help but wonder how a more substantial budget would have elevated the cinematic experience, allowing Mukherji's vision to shine through unencumbered, loved his autobiographical elements as well.
