CREPUSCOLO again looks at both the past and the future of our undines and their new recruits, specifically focusing on Alice, Anya & Athena. The main theme here appears to be learning about dealing with the inevitable, as we spend a lot of time breaking down Alice's anxieties about being a good role model for Anya and having Athena 'pass the torch' of managing Orange Company to her as she leaves to pursue her own dreams. It was also a delight to go back in time and see some of Alice & Athena's first moments as a duo, and seeing the parallels of what the senpais felt during those times as well. Production has once again changed hands, this time to JC Staff, who bring a vastly improved use of lighting, and cleaner art & animation to the table, at the expense of a little bit of awkward CG and an abandonment of the original art-style in favour of something more akin to one of Amano's other works - Amanchu, likely a product of JC Staff having done the adaptation of that one in the past. As there's a strong focus on Athena's love for singing in storyline, there's a tonne of wonderful songs to listen to alongside the accompanying OST, and a general good time to be had all around.

With only BENIDIZIONE left, I'm not sure I'm ready to see the true end of the ARIA franchise, but, much like Alice, I will have to accept the inevitable and move forward with heart & head held high.
