I went into this with absolutely zero expectations other than I really like Julie Garner and have enjoyed a few of her other movies and of course her role in Ozark I was also intrigued with the casting of Dianne West. I had seen no trailers and other than a quick look at the synopsis I just decided to give it a try.

I was pleasantly surprised, it didn't feel like a horror and tbh that aspect of the film was quite weak with not very many scares, but it did have great tension and atmosphere and was well shot. Loved the music choices (especially for the ending scene) if this was down as a purely thriller I think that would be more appropriate and actually may bump my rating up a heart however the weak horror was a bit of a let down.

Garner continues to impress me and she played her role amazing with West also giving a strong performance and was nice to see her on the screen (I haven't personally seen her in anything notable for a while but that could just be me missing out on some titles)

Apartment 7A was a nice little find and one I can say exceeded my expectations. It's not groundbreaking and won't tear up any trees in the genres it is portraying but I was engrossed and invested to the end.
