Irons and Huston turn in good performances, but they are occasionally scuppered by a weak script. Enjoyable to watch for the most part but the film is often lacking in greatness.

Seems like Jeremy Irons had a good time making _An Actor Prepares_. That's nice for him. I myself, did actually enjoy it more than I expected to by the end, even if the whole "Son accepts shitty dad by virtue of having to spend time in the same immediate vicinity as him" is a trope I absolutely loat More
