Amuck!

Started off really fast, which was a relief. It slowed to a relaxing pace which suited for the style of the classic mystery. Sometimes I wanted more of an intense atmosphere to crop up between the bigger scenes, just to keep a sense of suspense throughout. This movie seemed understated at times, even though it had the characters and situations to make it constantly atmospheric. Lots sexual scenes in the first half. Not tacky. If you think about the sexual situations realistically it opens up the whole sordid situation. The sleazy part worked and was more effective at uneasy atmosphere than the other parts. The movie looks good and the music had wondeful highlights and poorly fitting low points. The Farley character occasionally had some good dialogue, I wish he had more. The ending was OK.
