Alien Abduction is a rather innovative found footage film that delivers some frightful scares, but it’s unable to avoid the trappings of the genre. The setup is that of a recovered home video that was made by a child who followed his family’s camping trip in the Brown Mountains, which turned into a struggle for survival against alien abductors. And, this is intercut with interviews from paranormal experts who explain the history of UFO activity in the Brown Mountain region. While it starts out rather interesting and has some intense moments, the film quickly degenerates into a generic “cabin in the woods” scenario with the characters holding out in the middle of a creepy forest. Additionally, the acting isn’t that good, particularly the cabin owner; who couldn’t be more of an outdoorsman stereotype. Though it gets points for creativity, Alien Abduction isn’t able to escape the classic horror movie tropes.

Pure crap and ridiculous movie.

This movie was pointless. They don'#39;t give you an explanation about what happened. It'#39;s actually frustrating, in the end...

I'm really starting to enjoy these found footage movies even though they are usually so cheaply done it can be distracting. The tunnel scene was terrific but there was one moment early in the scene when Riley (the boy with the camera) records himself inadvertently in a car's side mirror. Over his shoulder, for just a second, you can see an alien's head in the background. The camera doesn't linger, which makes it a creepy moment and not a cheap jump scare. I watched this late in the evening in a darkened room and it was enough to make falling asleep a little tougher.

This movie scared the 💩 out of me.

5.5/10 So So I absolutely love My found footage Genre I have the best of the best but this one quickly approaching 10 years old had not aged well at all. You can really see that it's a decade all because you see fcuk all. I have all the FF movies including from a decade ago and more and even those blow this one out the water so I guess you can't really blame this Movie being poor, really poor in content on the fact of it age. I guess it's just not that good to begin with. That being said it's worth a view every 5yrs are so, I just really really enjoy The Genre.

Terrible. I fell asleep watching it.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!!!! I love my '#34;found footage'#34; genre, but this was bad. They barely show the aliens and just spam you with that stupid semi white noise filter the whole time.

The main character is about the only part of the movie which actually grabbed me. I actually found myself strangely attached to the little guy despite the ridiculousness that was happening around him. To sum it up as concisely as possible, this film is Paranormal Activity with aliens (not tagging as a spoiler because... well, read the title). Good film to watch after a few beers with friends, terrible film to watch if you actually value your brain cells.

Didn'#39;t care for this one. Nope.
