Alex Truelove is on a quest to lose his virginity, an event eagerly awaited by his patient girlfriend and cheered on with welcome advice by his rowdy friends. But Alex, a super gregarious dude, is oddly unmotivated. A magical house party throws Alex into the presence of Elliot, a hunky college guy, who pegs Alex as gay and flirts hard. Alex is taken aback but after a series of setbacks on the girlfriend front he takes the plunge and learns some interesting new facts about himself.

It was very good and I enjoyed it, but disappointed by the ending. I understand that homosexual men is still a very under represented in media. I can’t complain about the plot because these are our stories, our truth, but I wished for a bisexual ending or even a pansexual ending, it could have been really wild and been a asexual ending. But nope, plain gay. It was better then a lot of gay movies in recent years, with the exception of Moonlight and Love, Simon which were masterpieces, but I just wanted better.

this definitely feels like a movie by straight people trying to profit of a community they're not a part of (and even making a mess along the way) for straight people. there's biphobia, transphobia, acephobia, walking stereotypes, a scene that pictures being a lesbian as being a choice, etc etc. cmo More
