Adrift

Well, I'm left feeling conflicted after watching the movie. I didn't feel like Shailene and Sam had much chemistry, and the dialogue during their first few interactions was so cringey it made me low key uncomfortable. But by the middle of it, I was invested and wanted them to be okay, even though I was beginning to figure out [spoiler] Richard was probably just a hallucination and that he'd actually died. The food and water lasting as long as they apparently did was a big clue, and also the fact he seemed to be bleeding internally, and still, after more than two weeks he was, somehow, still alive. By the point Tami let him go it was already pretty obvious he'd never been there in the first place, but it was still really heartbreaking[/spoiler]. I'm honestly incredibly impressed with the real life Tami. I couldn't imagine going through something like that and surviving and then ever setting foot on a boat ever again. She's truly a remarkable, resilient and fearless woman. Wow.
