so I liked the idea behind it and the fact we FINALLY have some sort of monster that isn't priest centric. but... it was weird. like a lot of Random jump scares and none of the characters is actually likeable enough for us audience to care about what happens to them... it took me two days to finish it. a missed opportunity.

Kicking that [spoiler]amulet down the drain[/spoiler] was a bizarre move, like something a little boy would do. Felt like a very unnatural way to force a plot. Anyway, I really disliked that main character so I didn't really care what happened to him. The movie has poorly mixed audio levels and bombards you with sudden ***LOUD NOISES*** to scare you, so I had to choose between being super annoyed at the ***LOUD NOISES WOO SCARY!!!*** or being able to hear the dialogue. Opted to turn down volume and just use subtitles. It turns out ***BOOM LOUD NOISES AAAAA*** was the only scary thing about the movie so at this point I was just waiting for it to end so I could move on.
