NYPD detective Andre Davis (Chadwick Boseman) shuts down all 21 bridges of Manhattan after creating a citywide manhunt to find two cop killers (Stephan James & Taylor Kitsch).

21 Bridges is a pretty decent action thriller with a few moments worth your while, but it lacks any sort of real memorable scene to make it even better. Chadwick Boseman is an amazing actor, and he is brilliant in this movie. He has a presence about him that I admire.

I generally have a soft spot for movies like this one because I like to turn my brain off and just enjoy it. The action scenes were decent, and the story showed promise, but I would be lying if I said I was not getting tired of a lot of movies always using corrupt cops as a twist. Mainly because it is always so predictable who is on the take.

JK Simmons is always a pleasure to watch even though his characters motives you could see a mile off. The chemistry was good from the two cop killers Stephan James and Taylor Kitsch. James plays the remorseful criminal while Kitsch plays the more cold-blooded killer who doesn't care who he hurts. They play off each other pretty well throughout. Sienna Miller could have been better in her role as Frankie Burns.

It is a relatively fast paced movie as most of it takes place in a single night which improves the movie slightly. Has a pretty decent score as well.

An enjoyable action film that doesn't do anything memorable. There are much worse ways to spend your afternoon. 6/10.
