2036 Origin Unknown is a similar story we've seen in other popular Mars flicks. A fan of Katee Sackhoff since Battlestar Galactica, it is easy to see that Katee is much more accomplished than some might see. Katee carried this moderately flawed movie to a satisfying ending. The "special effects" left me thinking how someone got the job as special effects supervisor on this flick. The most glaring was the filler "rover in transit" scenes.. a far away shot would show the rover going about 40 or so mph... then cut to a close up of a wheel at 3 mph... Great story but be prepped for elementary school special effects!

I would have say.. given the obvious budget constraints of this movie, Katee did a stellar job acting and selling the story..
In the end I didn't get that "this is 2 hours of my life I will never get back" regret.
