Interesting show. Ben Platt and Zoey Deutch are so good! But everyone is LGBTQ+? Exaggerated ratio here, and this turns the show a little one-dimensional.

@poizonb0x Right? My best friend and I discussed this last night (who, mind you, are both LGBTQ+). We just commented on the fact that it was great to see inclusivity, and bisexuality/fluidity/pansexuality is very much real, but it seemed like almost every single character was...and yet never really followed through with any of it. It was muddied in that respect for sure.

I know your comment is from a little while ago but if you feel that the fact that there are multiple LGBTQ+ characters makes this show a "bit one dimensional," then you are not paying enough attention to the exceptional dialogue s and interactions of the characters.

@poizonb0x I'm honestly bored of comments like this. It's almost funny. "One-dimensional" .... Hmm. Do you mean like every single show out there were almost every character is straight and in hetero-normative relationships? No, I doubt it. You likely think those are "normal" and "comfortable"..... But what is funny is stories are allowed to be like this. It doesn't make it one dimensional. Also not every character is. I think you are the one exaggerating. :person_shrugging:♂

Very fun watch. Over the top drama that works as long as you're willing to suspend your disbelief.
They try to shoehorn in Ben Platt's musical talent in a few places in ways that don't seem natural, but that's really my only complaint.
Hope it continues on to season 2, because the finale promises another great arc.

This show is so real while presenting itself as unreal as it gets. I like it

The comedy is good but I'd say it really excels by making me care for some awful people to the point having them succeeding wouldn't be that bad, which is odd.

If you can suspend your disbelief about how unrealistic some characters and their arcs are, it should be a fun experience.

well that was interesting ... I guess.. ... the script was a bit all over the place and a lot of characters were poorly developed and things happened very quickly.. Payton and
River have very good chemistry while it was hard to see any with Payton and Alice
. Also a lot of the actors didn't have the range to pull of their quirky characters compared to previous actors that have featured in Ryan Murphy TV Shows were the character is very OTT put pulls it off well. Like Payton's 'enemy' whose name I can't remember looks very similar to Emma Roberts but didn't have the same screen presence or depth.
