**8 /10**: Wow. I've just watched the Pilot episode, and it is by far the best Pilot I've ever seen. It has you hooked from the beginning, teasing but not too much. Throughout the episode was action. This felt like I was watching a movie as the lighting, graphics, fight scenes and music all worked perfectly. The acting was spot on. I'm thoroughly anticipating the rest of the seasons release.

An ever changing platform for some good character driven drama. The title, invoking the Liam Neeson's movies, may have been a hook for studio heads and fans, but, neither the premise or the genre made the transition from big to little screen. This series began as a ensemble, crime, action piece, much like a half dozen other series (ie. RANSOM, S.W.A.T., SEAL TEAM), but completely recreated itself for Season 2 by reducing the drama to the star powered central characters (Clive Standen and Jennifer Beals) and by anchoring the themes to character (nobility, honour and justice), much like PERSON OF INTEREST. Both decisions worked for me. However, there are a lot of sloppy plot contrivances and improbable solutions which you will just have to ignore. I'm enjoying the series, and give it a 7.5 (solid) out of 10. [Action Drama]
