Hard Cell is definitely not a hard sell to me! I greenlight this fekkin show til "mammy" comes to visit. Oh my dear goddess (Tate is a goddess) how fun this was! Catherine Tate outdid herself in this! She's genius! The players she's cast are superb comedy players and the roles Catherine plays she does with aplomb! I just love her! I binged in one night...I want more! Loved everything about this one. The scene where she's helping new inmate Patricia pick a nickname had me rolling with that wry deadpan one word answer from Patricia delivered as only the Brits can do. My fave character was Marco. I mean, genius!! So damn good. America better not EVER try and do an American version. This is a priceless, one of a kind gem.

"A Netflix comedy" is the biggest lie I've ever heard in my life. I watched the first episode and there's not a single funny thing here. I didn't even smile. It's just stupid "jokes," boring as hell and I struggled to even get through the first episode. Hard Cell is a hard pass for me :thumbsdown:

I assume it's on Netflix as it was a hard sell for the Beeb. It's dire, the 'epic movie' of the mockumentary, at no point is it more than stupid shit being said and done by actors. Tate's trying to be Michael scott (she may have been in the office, but she learnt nothing) It's also poorly trying to be like a Chris Lilley series with her playing multiple roles., But it's just her doing accents in different make-up..

Governmental propaganda, about ha-ha, the jailers who are so sweet and well-intentioned. See? The government loves you. Now pay your TV tax, so you could be entertained some more by these lazy bums.

it turned out to be both very funny and moving at the same time, catherine tate is just brilliant in everything she does. i loved the characters, especially laura, ros and the lesbian couple. i recommend you to watch all the episodes, don't want to give anything away but the ending will shock you!
