for someone who never really got into wrestling (aside from the occasional mexican wrestling), it is still a fascinating watch. very well done and i find myself hanging on to every word. it must be incredible for a diehard fan immersed in its history.

Dark Side of the Ring is a great Documentary and a must see for any individual that considers themselves a fan of Wrestling. Each episode revolves around a different behind the scenes event that gives you a new understanding for some of Wrestlings most iconic superstars.

I think looking through the past series comments (The XPW one in particular) made me think of tape trading. Thats how I knew about that promotion. Anyway I was thinking they should do an episode on Rob Feinstein...Google him kids if you dont know who he is. He was/is sleezy & he didnt like us traders trading his RF Video tapes. But he did have some of the best shoot interviews avail at that time + all the ECW crap including the fan cams.

5 series in & a lot of the episodes have been good.

A little list for the non-wrestling fans they might find interesting
All of series 1. I think all episodes are good for non-wrestling fans.
2x01 & 2x02: Chris Benoit
2x06 The Assassination of Dino Bravo
2x10: The Final Days of Owen Hart
3x06 In The Shadow of Grizzly Smith
4x03 Breaking the Cycle: The Graham Dynasty
5x10 Black Saturday: The Rise of Vince

Clear episodes to skip if you are NOT a wrestling fan

3x03 The Ultra-Violence of Nick Gage (To be fair. Wrestling fans should avoid this episode as well)
3x10 Blood & Wire: Onita's FMW
3x13 Extreme & Obscene: Rob Black's XPW
4x07 Abdullah the Butcher: Legacy of Blood
5x09 Enter Sandman: Legacy of a Hardcore Icon

Also to be fair. The ones I listed for the non-wrestling fans to skip are good (I think) but really if you are only a fan of garbage/hardcore wrestling of the past

The wrestling industry is absolutely bonkers and tragic at the same time.

All these episodes are about High Profiled people at one time or another. How some of never heard of them baffles me. Unless you're limited to what is known today as the WWE. Maybe its just me, IDK.
Anyway, Im only on series 2x5 but its a good watch so far.

If you’re a wrestling fan you should watch this. The Chris Benoit one was what made me curious to check out the show and it was so well done I’ve gone through the rest of the episodes. Many of the episodes are about people I never heard of so I wasn’t sure if I was going to watch them, but I’m glad I did because they were really well done and enjoyable to watch.

Season 1 focuses on wrestlers from the 1980s and early 1990s. That is probably before most people are aware off. But it was great for me - I'd vaguely heard of a lot of these people, and to see th stories behind them, the human touch, the sadness, the politics. It's was a great binge watch!
