**07/10.**

I am just gonna say that I didn't know this Pete Davidson guy or his story and I tend to dislike Judd Apatow movies because they all feel like CBS sitcoms BUT this is one good movie. The story is just so real, personal and touching. The comedy was well done. The performances were all great. Bill Burr just plays himself and that is a good thing.

I don't really have a lot else to add. I was moved by this.

I loved it, lots of good sense of humour, heartwarming and deep moments from the script and some good messages and played out well with a super cast, other than being a comedian, pete davidson is a pretty good actor.

This movie was great. Warm, funny, and always engaging, it is well worth watching, with an excellent turn from star/cowriter Pete Davidson. Actually, kudos have to go to the rest of the cast too, with Tomei, Burr, and Buscemi being particular standouts. Even if you're not a fan of Apatow's work, you should give this one a try.

I didn't expect this movie to captivate me so much, wow!

It felt a bit like Boyhood, being a little fly on the wall while watching Scott evolve in life, played by the very funny Pete Davidson.

Didn't expect to laugh so much and didn't expect the movie to be so emotional. I can really see this movie growing on me even more in the future. Really a wonderful movie from start to finish.

Also, Crohn's represent!

This was absolutely awful. I fucking hated Pete Davidson's character. I literally wanted to see him get run over by a car in the first few minutes of the film. He had zero redeeming qualities. I will never understand how a movie like this gets made w/ a character who has no sympathetic value to him. And, there was _nothing_ funny about this.

I had pretty low expectations for this movie, mostly because I've never found Pete Davidson to be very funny, but I was pleasantly surprised. Was it the greatest? No, but I think it did a decent job of mixing comedy with tragedy. And Bill Burr is hilarious, if nothing else.

I was looking forward to this movie, but I was a little disappointed. It can be a little slow in some parts. I did love the acting from Marisa Tomei, Bill Burr, and Steve Buscemi. I was especially impressed with Bill Burr. However, even though it seemed like Pete Davidson was playing a character true to himself, it felt like he was the weak link. I think if someone else was cast for the lead, the movie would've been better. The ending left me with a "that's it?" type feeling.

There is no doubt that this is a Judd Apatow movie. It has all his strengths and also his imperfections. In any case, Pete Davidson is a guy unknown enough outside the United States that the autobiographical notes are hidden. Some of the messages in the film are remarkable ("heroes are necessary"). But the protagonist does not have enough interest or strong personality to sustain more than two hours of film.

I wasn't too sure if I was going to like this film, but I actually really enjoyed it. I feel that the first hour of the film is a little slow, but after that the film got a lot letter :)

The movie night be a disappointment if you don't like real life much. It's not a quirky, cinematic movie. It's more like Clerks minus the cursing. A sleeper cult classic in the making.

Very well done a great movie. Pete Davidson as things have gone on has shown me that he is starting to lose his luster. The shock humor about his father and other crazy things in his life have kind of gotten stale. This movie was made before all that started to happen, the jokes are funny and full of raw emotion. This is more than just a comedy its the narrative story of a broken man working his way back into the world so he can do better by himself and those around. Its emotionally raw and was 100% worth my time. Besides from a few missteps its a great fun and emotional experience.

I guess if you like watching "normal" somewhat messed up people waste their time pointlessly doing pointless stuff you'll like this move..... Personally it's a water of time IMO.
